Autographs from one of soccer’s biggest stars can now be found with Upper Deck Authenticated.
The company revealed its line of Lionel Messi autographed memorabilia on Wednesday with all items featuring the 27-year-old Argentina and FC Barcelona striker — a four-time winner of the FIFA Ballon d’Or, which goes to the world’s best player.
“Upper Deck Authenticated has a reputation of providing fans with the world’s greatest memorabilia, and we are thrilled to add products signed by the world’s greatest fútbol star to that portfolio,” said Jason Masherah, president of Upper Deck, in a prepared statement.
Five of the items in the line are limited to less than 50 copies. The cheapest is a $999 “Colors of the Game” photo limited to just 50 pieces, while his Barcelona autographed Tegata handprint is limited to just 20 and sells for $7,499. All five pieces can be seen at www.upperdeckstore.com/Messi.
The deal came together as Upper Deck teamed with Icons Shop Limited, which works with Messi, to bring the line to life.
“As Leo Messi official signed memorabilia partner, Icons Shop Limited was happy to work with Upper Deck to help create a limited range of autographed products that mirror the same innovative products signed by Upper Deck’s unrivalled roster of champions” said Dan Jamison, CEO of Icons Shop Limited, in a prepared release.
