The 2025 World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays has been everything the Fall Classic is supposed to be. Amazing feats, record breakers, and a back-and-forth affair that has kept Major League Baseball fans glued to the TV.

Among superstars like Shohei Ohtani and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. shining brightly, Blue Jays rookie starting pitcher Trey Yesavage made a resounding statement against the Dodgers on Wednesday night in Game 5, pumping new enthusiasm into the hobby.

Scrolling through pages of baseball cards sold via secondary markets on October 30, Trey Yesavage is dominating the field. Why? The rookie steamrolled the All-Star lined Dodgers roster for seven innings, allowing three hits and one earned run. Beyond keeping the LA batters off-balance by generating 23 swing-and-misses, Yesavage struck out 12 without allowing a walk in the 6-1 Jays win to take a 3-2 series lead.

Blue Jays manager John Schnieder spoke to the media after the game, sharing his thoughts on Yesavage’s performance: “Historic stuff. When you talk about that stage and his numbers, getting ahead of a lot of hitters, tons of swing-and-miss. It’s one thing to be in the zone, and it’s another thing to be in the zone and get some swing-and-miss.”

Adding to the David vs. Goliath moment, Yesavage is just 22 years old and Game 5 was his eighth overall start in the big leagues; three regular-season starts and five in the postseason.

      Hi Chris,

That’s a great card! However, due to its scarcity, it would be tough to set a value for it.
