Trevor Story Signs Exclusive Autographed Memorabilia Deal with Topps

2011 Bowman Chrome Draft Prospect Autographs Trevor Story

By Ryan Cracknell | Hobby Editor

Following his record-breaking start to the 2016 season, there’s been a surge in interest in Trevor Story. Now the Colorado Rockies rookie has transformed that success into an exclusive autographed deal with Topps Authentics.

The deal covers signed memorabilia. Traditional trading cards are not part of it.

Collectors can expect to find a mix of autographed balls, bats, photos and over-sized cards in the near future.

“Trevor Story’s first week as a big leaguer was phenomenal,” said David Leiner, Topps Vice President and General Manager of North American Sports & Entertainment in a press release. “No one has done what he has done at this level. The excitement he brings to every game is something that can’t be matched.”

Story joins Carlos Correa, Kenta Maeda, Francisco Lindor and Luis Severino as other Topps Authentics exclusives.

Doesn’t Topps’ MLBPA monopoly limit players’ choices? Who else could Story sign with and make any money? It’s not like this is a free market anymore.
