Topps readies wrapper redemption for 2013 Bowman Chrome

By Chris Olds | Beckett Baseball Editor

The Blue Waves are back.

Topps announced its wrapper redemption program for 2013 Bowman Chrome on Wednesday and there’s a new twist that collectors can start taking advantage of when the product arrives on Friday.

UPC codes are now eligible, too.

A UPC code from a HTA Jumbo or hobby box is good for one five-card pack of Blue Wave Refractors. Every 24 retail wrappers is good for one pack as well. The packs also will include randomly inserted Red Wave and Blue Wave autograph cards.

There’s a limit of 10 packs per household and they will be redeemed while supplies last. They cannot be postmarked before Sept. 27 and should be sent to:

Bowman Chrome Blue Wave Promotion
P.O. Box 2008
Duryea, Pa., 18642

Does the UPC code replace wrappers, or is it in addition to?

For example, if somebody sends 24 hobby wrappers and a UPC from a hobby box, will they get one pack or two packs?

was wondering on what to buy. 3 flat boxes or 1 jumbo. dont know witch way to go, any advice?
Seeing that i can buy 3 boxes of the flats for the price of a jumbo and might end up with that extra auto in the flats.

pretty sure it’s UPC from a sealed box or 24 single wrappers from retail. Being able to double dip on a hobby box would pretty much defeat the purpose of sending in the UPC.

    – If you’re still waiting for last year’s redemptions to show up… I’ve got some bad news for you.

    – And it’s EITHER one hobby UPC code OR 24 retail wrappers.

Well last topps redemption offer I send in enough wrappers fr 10 packs and cost me 20 bucks to mail as I sent priority post. Then I call to follow up and they say they don’t have anymore they ran out. What a rip with saving all the wrappers, time and money and I got nothing wow
