Topps added a unique chase to 2013 Topps Football this year – one if completed could land collectors special prizes.

Those who have opened 2013 Topps packs may have noticed “Build You Legacy” promo cards. These cards tease the contest.

In order to compete, collectors have to find Build Your Legacy parallel cards – and it seems some subjects are exclusive to hobby or retail. Collect all 110 cards and mail in the collection to Topps to get an entire vintage-style Topps autographed card set of the 40 rookies who attended the 2013 NFLPA Rookie Premiere.

One of those who sent in their collection will win the grand prize of a trip to the 2014 NFLPA Rookie Premiere.

This will not be an easy set to complete. The Build your Legacy parallels are numbered to just 99 copies each.

EBay search tip: Just type “Legacy” when looking for these cards.

Sounds like a fun challenge. It would be nice to see the autograph cards that could be won. I’m going to watch a few auctions and then decide if I am up for the challenge (as I think it could be done for under $1000, and if the autographs are nice enough then it would be worth the investment).

If you can snag that under 1000 youd be lucky imo, in a jumbo you get 1 per pack and I got doubles in one box so I imagine they sp’ed some but good luck I hope you get it.

Joe, they can’t have SP’ed any of them if they are all serial numbered to 99. It was says that some were exclusive to retail and others exclusive to hobby though. I was figuring under $1k as getting 50 for $5 each, 50 for $10 each, and 10 for $20 each. Those are of course averages, and some will sell for more but others will sell for less. By the end of the weekend (as more of these come up for auction, and more auctions end) I will have a good idea if it will be possible to get the set done for under $1k.

Joe Cecil, something is horribly wrong here, if there was 1 per pack and there are only /99 of each player at 110 players that means topps would only be making 10890 packs of 2013 nfl? around 450 boxes or 45 cases

Tops claims there is one GF /99 build your legacy PER CASE, they do not specify hobby or retail or how thats working out

if you are getting one per pack let me know where you are getting your packs PLEASE, or even one per box..
