The annual Yu-Gi-Oh Mega Tins have been released. With them comes many reprints of popular cards from the past year’s sets. Here’s a look at the top 5 reprints from the 2018 Yu-Gi-Oh Mega Tins when it comes to competitive play.

Top 5 Yu-Gi-Oh Mega Tin Reprints

5.  Inspector Boarder

Inspector Boarder is a card that has recently been creeping up in price. Over the last few weeks it’s been pushing $9.00 a copy. Boarder is an extremely powerful first-turn play for anti-meta decks. It’s also good for decks that are looking to disrupt an opponent’s combos that are based on resolving monster effects.

I definitely recommend picking up a playset for your decks, as a set of the reprints can be purchased for the value of the original prior to the reprint.

4. Firewall Dragon

Next up we have the current anime’s protagonist ace monster, Firewall Dragon. Firewall has been catching a lot of heat throughout this format as a degenerate card, as he is the source for numerous OTK/Extra Link combo decks.  Firewall is a great card to pick up, but just keep in mind the ban list should be out relatively soon. He has a good chance of being banned based off his effects.

3. Saryuja Skull Dread

Saryuja Skull Dread is another powerful link 4 being reprinted in these tins. It provides duelists with numerous options when summoned. Cards that provide multiple options to duelists are always valuable and Saryuja is no exception.

Definitely pick up a copy of this card as you can get it for nearly half the original price.

2. Borreload Dragon

Borreload Dragon is another link 4. Prior to this set, the card was pushing $40 per copy, a price tag it deserved. Borreload is an extremely powerful monster that can’t be targeted by monster effects. On top of that, any monster it battles can’t take control of until the end of the next turn. This allows many OTK plays to occur.

The reprint Dragon is currently sitting around $15.

1. Evenly Matched

Evenly Matched allows the player to banish cards from their opponent’s field so they have the same number of cards that you do. This is the ultimate comeback card and has been a staple side deck card for players since its release.

Be sure to pick up a playset of this card as it has a strong chance of going back up in price.
