Rittenhouse has done an impressive job of creating Game of Thrones autographs for virtually every significant character. The feat is even more impressive when you factor in how sweeping the cast is. But even with that, some cards are in more demand than others. More demand means higher values.

Here are our picks for the top 15 signers to look for. Value is a major factor but not the only one. The actor’s overall appeal, other projects and the rarity of their signature are among the other factors.

Top 15 Game of Thrones Autograph Signers

15. Natalie Dormer – Margaery Tyrell

GOT S3 Peter Natalie Dormer Autograph

Right now, Natalie Dormer isn’t one of the more expensive Game of Thrones autographs, but that could change. She’s had notable roles in several films since taking on the role of Margaery Tyrell including the final two chapters in the Hunger Games series and Rush, the Formula One movie about the real-life rivalry between Niki Lauda and James Hunt. Other small-screen roles for Dormer include her breakout performance as Anne Boleyn on The Tudors and the villainous Moriarty on the Sherlock Holmes update, Elementary. What this adds up to is some strong potential in Hollywood once her time on Game of Thrones is up.

Appears in:

• Season 2 – Bordered
• Season 3 – Full-Bleed

14. Michelle Fairley – Catelyn Stark

GOT S1 Michelle Fairley Autograph Bordered

The matriarch of the Stark clan, Michelle Fairley plays a major role in the series, even when she’s not around. Red Wedding, anyone? Fairley has autographs in just two sets of Game of Thrones trading cards. Although the Season 1 card has a slightly larger print run, the overall popular of the debut release makes it worth more.

Appears in:

• Season 1 – Bordered (300-500 copies, closer to 300)
• Season 2 – Full-Bleed (200-300 copies)

13. Gwendoline Christie – Brienne of Tarth

GOT S2 Gwendoline Christie Autograph Full-Bleed

Brienne of Tarth of one of the coolest characters in Game of Thrones. However, her appearance here is just as much about the crossover appeal her cards have. Christie is also Captain Phasma in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. And Captain Phasma has yet to get a Star Wars autograph.

Appears in:

• Season 2 – Full-Bleed
• Season 3 – Bordered

12. Jack Gleeson – Joffrey Baratheon

GOT S2 Jack Gleeson Autograph Bordered

Great heroes and stories need great villains. An epic like Game of Thrones needs an epic villain. While there are several, Joffrey is easily one of the most memorable. He’s the kind of character that’s a joy to hate. It also makes for a great autograph. Jack Gleeson signed for the first four sets, although in various forms and quantities. Over the course of the first three releases for the show, Gleeson appeared on two Bordered and two Full-Bleed cards. His Season 4 autograph uses the Gold Signature design. It’s also the toughest to find as it was distributed as a six-case incentive.

Appears in:

• Season 1 – Bordered (300-500 copies)
• Season 1 – Full-Bleed (300-500 copies)
• Season 2 – Bordered (200-300 copies)
• Season 3 – Full-Bleed (200-300 copies)
• Season 4 – Gold Signature (six-case incentive)

11. Sophie Turner – Sansa Stark

GOT S3 Peter Sophie Turner Autograph

Sophie Turner’s autographs fall under a similar category as Natalie Dormer — lots of potential in the years to come. She’s a young actress who is already starting to branch out beyond Game of Thrones. This included taking over the role of Jean Grey in X-Men: Apocalypse. And if the rumors are true, that could lead to an even bigger part in another X-Men movie in the not-too-distant future.

Neither of the first two Game of Thrones Sophie Turner autographs are on the rare side. They are not short prints. This is kept values down somewhat. But there could come a point where her career trajectory becomes more of a factor.

Appears in:

• Season 2 – Full-Bleed
• Season 3 – Bordered

10. George R.R. Martin

GOT S2 George RR Martin Autograph Bordered

George R.R. Martin isn’t known for his acting prowess. But if it weren’t for him, we wouldn’t have any of the Game of Thrones books. And without the books, there wouldn’t be the television show. For that reason alone, the author is deserving of an autograph card. That said, his lone signed card, which came in 2013 Game of Thrones Season 2, wasn’t in packs. Rather, it was distributed as a six-case incentive. It’s not the most expensive Game of Thrones autograph,  but it’s one of the most important.

Appears in:

• Season 2 – Bordered (six-case incentive)

9. Oona Chaplin – Talisa Maegyr

GOT S3 Peter Oola Chaplin Autograph

Talisa Maegyr isn’t one of the biggest characters in Game of Thrones but the autographs connected to her are. Oona Chaplin has autographs in both the Season 3 and Season 4 sets. However, both are ‘Extremely Limited’ by Rittenhouse standards, making them some of the toughest Game of Thrones autographs inserted in packs. Between the two cards, there are currently less than 400 total Chaplin signed cards for the show. Of the two, the full-bleed Season 3 card is worth more. If you’re simply in the market for a signature from the actress, she also has a pair of autographs in 2014 James Bond Archives.

Appears in:

• Season 3 – Full-Bleead (100-200 copies)
• Season 4 – Bordered (100-200 copies)

8. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau – Jaime Lannister

GOT S3 Nikolaj Coster-Waldau Autograph Blue

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau has no shortage of different autograph cards. He’s in each of the first four sets of Game of Thrones cards from Rittenhouse. Despite this, none of his signed cards have large print runs. The most plentiful, his Season 1 autograph, has not much more than 300 copies. His Season 3 Gold Signature card is a three-case incentive. However, so is Lena Heady. That means it shares a similar print run as a six-case incentive, which is not very big.

Appears in:

• Season 1 – Bordered (300-500 copies, closer to 300)
• Season 2 – Full-Bleed (200-300 copies)
• Season 3 – Blue (100-200 copies)
• Season 3 – Gold Signature (one of two different three-case incentives)
• Season 4 – Full-Bleed (100-200 copies)

7. Sean Bean – Ned Stark

GOT S1 Sean Bean Autograph Bordered

Sean Bean’s time on the show didn’t last very long. However, it was a memorable role and one that has pushed a major part of the show’s plot. Besides Games of Thrones, Bean has appeared in both the Lord of the Rings and James Bond franchises (including other autograph cards). His Season 1 autograph is one of the most valuable in the entire run in large part because it was kept out of packs and used as an incentive. If you’re looking for a bargain more than anything, the Season 4 Full-Bleed Autograph is definitely the way to go.

Appears in:

• Season 1 – Bordered (three-case incentive)
• Season 4 – Full-Bleed (300-500 copies)

6. Maisie Williams – Arya Stark

GOT S1 Maisie Williams Autograph Full-Bleed

Over the course of the show, Maisie Williams’ character Arya Stark has become more of a central figure. She’s also become more popular with fans. Not surprisingly, her autograph cards have followed suit. With two different autographs in 2012’s Season 1 release, both of which were some of the more common in the product, it took a bit for her cards to rise. But even with more autographs in later sets, values have steadily climbed alongside her visibility.

Appears in:

• Season 1 – Bordered (300-500 copies, closer to 500)
• Season 1 – Full-Bleed (300-500 copies, closer to 500)
• Season 2 – Bordered (300-500 copies)
• Season 3 – Full-Bleed (300-500 copies)

5. Jason Momoa – Khal Drogo

GOT S1 Jason Momoa Autograph Bordered

The Game of Thrones Jason Momoa autographs have taken off for a couple of reasons. For starters, he’s only in the first release. Despite having both Bordered and Full-Bleed cards in the set, that’s the only place to find his Khal Drogo cards (other Momoa autographs can be found for Stargate, Conan and Pop Century). Another reason can be attributed to the fact that he has a major role on the horizon as Aquaman. As a result, the two Jason Momoa autograph cards have become two of the most valuable Game of Thrones cards.

Appears in:

• Season 1 – Bordered (300-500 copies, closer to 300)
• Season 1 – Full-Bleed (300-500 copies, closer to 300)

Buy Jason Momoa autographs on eBay.

4. Lena Headey – Cersei Lannister

GOT S1 Lena Headey Autograph Bordered

When you think of Cersei Lannister a lot runs through your mind. She’s one of those characters that can be pure evil one moment, sympathetic the next and back to pure evil with a passing sneeze. Lena Headey has been a regular signer for Rittenhouse since the show began, however all of her cards are short prints or incentives. She’s one of the key signers in the Season 1 set who only has one autograph in the product. With a massive checklist, it makes the card that much tougher to pull. Heady has some crossover appeal for outside projects, most notably as the titular character in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Appears in:

• Season 1 – Bordered (300-500 copies, closer to 300)
• Season 2 – Full-Bleed (200-300 copies)
• Season 3 – Bordered (100-200 copies)
• Season 3 – Gold Signature (one of two different three-case incentives)
• Season 4 – Full-Bleed (100-200 copies)

Buy Lena Heady autographs on eBay.

3. Kit Harington – Jon Snow

GOT S1 Kit Harington Autograph Bordered

No matter the fate of Jon Snow, the fate of his autograph cards is sealed. They’re some of the best and most valuable in the franchise. It begins with Kit Harington’s Season 1 card, which tops almost every other Game of Thrones autograph in existence. It’s the toughest of his cards to find, but in the grander scheme of things, it’s the most plentiful. However, demand for the Game of Thrones Season 1 set is also the highest. The Season 4 nine-case incentive Gold Signature card might present the best value

Appears in:

• Season 1 – Bordered (300-500 copies, closer to 300)
• Season 2 – Full-Bleed (200-300 copies)
• Season 4 – Full-Bleed (100-200 copies)
• Season 4 – Gold Signature (nine-case incentive)

Buy Kit Harington autographs on eBay.

2. Peter Dinklage – Tyrion Lannister

GOT S3 Peter Dinklage Autograph Gold

There’s a reason why Tyrion is one of the most popular Game of Thrones characters. It’s also the reason why the actor playing him has won major awards — Peter Dinklage is fantastic. When there are more than a dozen major characters in a show at any given time, it’s tough to stand out. Dinklage does that. This applies to his autograph cards as well. Dinklage’s signature has appeared in some form in every set so far, albeit in small quantities. However, as the total number of cards adds up, values have remained rather stable, even for the Season 1 six-case incentive. Now if only Rittenhouse can find a way to sneak a Space Pants card in somewhere.

Appears in:

• Season 1 – Bordered (six-case incentive)
• Season 2 – Full-Bleed (200-300 copies)
• Season 3 – Blue (100-200 copies)
• Season 3 – Gold Signature (six-case incentive)
• Season 4 – Full-Bleed (100-200 copies)

Buy Peter Dinklage autographs on eBay.

1. Emilia Clarke – Daenerys Targaryen

GOT S1 Emilia Clarke Autograph Bordered

The Mother of Dragons is also the Mother of Game of Thrones Autographs. Emilia Clarke has emerged as the signature to get for the series. But good luck finding one. She signed for the first two sets and, so far, that’s it. Besides appearing in just the two releases, both of her cards are short prints, adding to both their value and their appeal. Although Terminator: Genysis was considered a flop at the box office by the franchise’s standards, it still shows that Clarke has some major potential to be a big name in Hollywood even after Game of Thrones comes to an end.

Appears in:

• Season 1 – Bordered (300-500 copies, closer to 300)
• Season 2 – Full-Bleed (200-300 copies)

Buy Emilia Clarke autographs on eBay.
