Phil Mickelson just pulled off an incredible win at the PGA Championship. He’s now placed himself in the record books as the oldest player to win a major at 50 years-old. Mickelson always seems to be overshadowed by Tiger, but not this time. Here are three major Phil Mickelson cards to add to your collection.

2002 Upper Deck #41 Phil Mickelson RC

Phil was on the PGA Tour long before he received his rookie card. By ’02, Mickelson was already an established name on the tour. However, there wasn’t much in the way of officially licensed cards in the mid-90s. So, collectors have to look to 2002 Upper Deck Golf to find a rookie even though he turned pro in 1992. If you’re doing the math at home, that’s 10 years later.

2002 SP Authentic #110 Phil Mickelson AU RC

Collectors will find Mickelson’s autographs in SP Game Used and SP Authentic, again from Upper Deck. The SP Game Used autograph is numbered to just 250 copies, while the SP Authentic is out of 799. Either one would be a great addition to a Lefty collection.

2002 Upper Deck Collector’s Club #PGA2 Phil Mickeslon

You had to be a part of the club to grab the final of our Three Major Phil Mickelson cards. The 2002 Upper Deck Collector’s Club that is. This one won’t exactly be easy to find, but there are a few copies floating around on the secondary market.

There are, of course, earlier examples of Mickelson cards to be had. The 2007 Sports Illustrated for Kids #154 Phil Mickelson Golf comes to mind. Going back even further, Lefty appears in sets from 1994 and 1991 as well. Truth be told, coming off an incredible win this weekend, any of those cards would be great to add as well.

As I mentioned before, Mickelson and Tiger have always been paired together. Good or bad it was hard to sperate the two. With Tiger out for now, and Phil winning this weekend, it’s time to give Lefty his due in the hobby.
