The National Launches Mobile App

Collectors planning to attend the upcoming 36th National Sports Collectors Convention in Chicago later this month now have all the information they need at their fingertips as the show approaches. Organizers have partnered up with the Whova app to let the hobby convene and create connections before the world’s largest and most-enduring trading card event begins.
Included among the information found on the app is a complete schedule of events, area map, and a list of sponsors and exhibitors along with a schedule for the athletes that will be signing at the show. The National will be able to provide users with up-to-the-minute news. Show founder Mike Berkus noted that the National’s team liked the presentation of Whova and the decision to utilize it was based on quickness and simplicity.
How can a collector attending the National get the app?
There is also a social aspect to the app as participating collectors can see who has confirmed their attendance and will not only be able to send messages, but can exchange virtual business cards as well.
Once a collector has downloaded the Whova app at www.hoova.com/download, they can sign in using either a social media or email account. From there, they search for the 36th National Sports Collectors Convention via the events tab. Should there be a request for a password in order to access the event, show organizers have noted that it is “nscc”.
The National runs from July 29 to Aug. 2 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill.
