The Most Valuable Pokémon Cards in Obsidian Flames

The Pokémon TCG’s Obsidian Flames expansion brought the heat, quite literally. With its striking card designs, new twists on classic types, and a lineup that includes Terastallized versions of fan-favorite Pokémon, it quickly became a must-watch set for collectors and competitive players alike.
But when it comes to value, not all cards are created equal. Whether you’re chasing rainbow foils or just looking to know what pulls are worth sleeving ASAP, here’s a closer look at five of the most valuable Pokémon cards in the Obsidian Flames card list that have caught serious attention on the secondary market. Consider yourself lucky if you’ve pulled them.
Charizard ex (Tera, Special Illustration Rare)
Charizard always finds a way to top the charts, and its Tera-type version in Obsidian Flames is no exception. This Fire-type is reimagined with a Dark Tera typing, wrapped in a moody, crystalized illustration with absolutely gorgeous art. The card’s unique look and type-shifted presence have made it a premium chase card, often topping $100 depending on condition and demand. As far as standout pulls go, this is the card from the set.
Pidgeot ex (Special Illustration Rare)
Pidgeot might not be the first Pokémon you think of when it comes to high value, but this version changed the conversation. The Special Illustration Rare treatment gives Pidgeot a serene and expansive art style that’s captured the attention of collectors around the world. It’s elegant, detailed, and has a soft color palette that makes it feel more like a painting than a TCG card. The popularity of older Gen I Pokémon, combined with the scarcity of this pull, helps it maintain strong market value. You don’t get card artwork like this just anywhere.
Revaroom ex (Special Illustration Rare)
Revaroom ex doesn’t just look cool – well, it is cool. That’s exactly what it is. The illustration gives it a kinetic sense of motion, with gritty textures and sharp lines that emphasize its steel typing and aggressive nature. While not a massive hit competitively, the card’s design has won over collectors and is climbing steadily in price. It’s one of those “sleeper” pulls that people didn’t expect to become valuable but now wish they hadn’t traded away.
Charizard ex (Hyper Rare, Gold)
This gold-foil Charizard ex, separate from the Special Illustration Rare, still ranks among the top-tier cards in the Obsidian Flames card list. Collectors are always drawn to gold variants, and with Charizard’s built-in popularity, it was bound to skyrocket. It’s a classic example of scarcity meeting fandom. This card might not have the same artistic allure as the illustration rare, but its prestige factor more than makes up for it.
Geeta (Full Art Trainer)
Trainers don’t always get the spotlight, but Geeta proves they should. Her full art card features crisp, radiant colors and confident energy that make her stand out in any binder. While not quite on the level of Charizard in terms of monetary value, Geeta has gained popularity both for her character in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet and the striking pose on the card. Among the trainer lineup in Obsidian Flames, she’s definitely the one to watch.
Couldn’t even put pics of the couple cards on here?? Come on we want an image of said cards!!!
Did you do any research for this article? Revaroom SIR isnt even in top 10 for value, it is less than $5 at the time of writing and hasn’t changed much in 6+ months. You missed plenty of cards more valuable than it OR Geeta SIR like Ninetails and Cleffa.
Ive got the gold foil zard if anyone’s interested
