The Market for McCaffrey – Beckett Pricing Insider
This edition of the Beckett Pricing Insider is brought to you by GTS Distribution. Watch Go GTS Live – The Hobby’s Web Show, every Thursday at 9 PM EST.
Christian McCaffrey just celebrated his 25th birthday on June 7. The star running back is son of former Broncos wide receiver Ed McCaffrey. In his short career so far, McCaffrey has amassed 3,145 rushing yards and 29 touchdowns. He would have higher stats if it weren’t for being injured almost the entire 2020 season.
The collecting market for Christian McCaffrey’s cards softened a little bit during his injury. Lately softened doesn’t mean what it used to, though. His cards have not lost value, but they aren’t seeing the huge gains like fellow running back Derrick Henry. If he does return to form and not go down with injuries again the secondary market could see McCaffrey’s card values take off.
Here are three cards to pay attention to.
2017 Panini Prizm Rookie Autographs Prizms Gold Vinyl #RACM Christian McCaffrey /5
Prizm has become one of the hottest products over the last year. This BGS 9.5 autograph card sold for close to $4,000.

2017 Panini National Treasures #181 Christian McCaffrey JSY AU RC /99
Here is an example of a card softening. This card has a high book value of $1,000 and this card sold for $821.

2016 Select ’17 Rookie Prizms #7 Christian McCaffrey
Select is another brand that has become more popular with collectors of late. This XRC card of Christian McCaffrey is moderately affordable right now with this BGS 9.5 copy selling for around $150.
