Ungraded, it’s a roughly $50 card almost anyone can grab. In a graded 10 slab, though, it’s the single priciest card in the entire set, with copies having reached around $5,000, an enormous leap that reflects just how few survive in flawless shape.

One word of caution: make sure you’re looking at the standard Holo Rare and not the far cheaper Reverse Holo version, which trades for a small fraction of that figure.

Swampert #13 (Rare Holo)

Sceptile’s Water type counterpart tells the same story. Swampert is a beefy 110 HP Stage 2 that holds up beautifully on display, and it follows the exact same raw versus graded split, with clean ungraded copies trading around $30, while graded 10 examples have climbed past $4,000.

Mudkip’s beloved final form carries a deep nostalgia following, and that fan demand stacked on top of brutal condition rarity is what pushes its top-grade ceiling so high.

As with Sceptile, the gap between a played copy and a pristine one is the whole story here.

Scyther ex #102 (Rare Holo EX)

The first of the set’s two ex headliners, Scyther ex is an 80 HP Basic that swings with Agility and Slash.

Raw, it’s the second most valuable ungraded card on this list behind only Mewtwo, usually landing around $80 in clean shape.

Graded is where it gets wild. Graded 10 copies sit around $1,600 on the most consistent data, but the population of perfect examples is razor-thin, and at least one recent Pristine sale spiked well beyond that mark.

The volume behind those top sales is sparse and the price has swung hard, so I’d treat the ceiling with caution, but if you own a genuinely clean Scyther ex, get it protected before you do anything else.

Mewtwo ex #101 (Rare Holo EX)

The face of the set and one of the most recognizable cards of the entire EX era, Mewtwo ex is a 100 HP Basic whose Psyburn attack still looks menacing against that dark, swirling holo field.

It’s the most liquid card on this list by a wide margin. Raw copies typically run from about $150 in average shape up toward $200 for clean versions.

Step up to graded 10 and the number jumps to roughly $18,000, with some examples having cleared $25,000.

It isn’t the set’s condition rarity champion the way the Hoenn holos are, but if you only chase one card from EX Ruby & Sapphire, this is it.

Blaziken #3 (Rare Holo)

As one of the most popular Fire-type starters in the entire franchise, Blaziken pulls steady collector attention, and clean vintage copies of its Hoenn era debut holo are a real challenge to track down.
