The Five Most Powerful Lorcana Cards

Disney’s Lorcana has taken the trading card game world by storm. Between its colorful art, interesting mechanics, and the deep-rooted nostalgic appeal of Disney characters, there’s a little something for everyone. On the other hand, if you play to win, then you’ll know that some cards are significantly better than others, and Lorcana is no exception.
If you want to take home the prize at your local Lorcana tournament, then you’ll want to consider incorporating a few of these powerhouses into your deck. Whether for their Strength, Willpower, or Lore value, these cards stand out from the competition in big ways.
Be Prepared – The First Chapter

Be Prepared is an Action and a Song card, providing players with multiple options for how to play it. Its effect is powerful too. By banishing all characters, Be Prepared allows a player to effectively reset the board.
Lorcana relies heavily on momentum, and a player who gets an early lead can easily win the game. Be Prepared gives players a chance to level the playing field. At a cost of seven Ink, it isn’t cheap to play, but if you have a character that costs seven or more on the field, you can tap it to play Be Prepared without paying its Ink cost.
Elsa, the Fifth Spirit
Lorcana has multiple versions of Elsa, but the Fifth Spirit variant is one of the best picks due to its utility against Evasive characters. Evasive characters can only be challenged by other characters with the same status, but Elsa, the Fifth Spirit comes ready with not only Evasive, but also the Rush effect.
This card can attack the same turn it’s played, and its bonus Crystallize effect allows a player to lock down an opposing character for one turn.
Hiram Flaversham
At first glance, this card isn’t that powerful. It has high Willpower, but only one Strength. However, Hiram’s power lies in the card’s abilities. On play or whenever this card quests, the player can banish an item to draw two cards. It provides excellent utility and allows someone to quickly draw cards.
Queen’s Castle
The Queen’s Castle is a location card with seven Willpower and a Move Cost of just one Ink, and it shines with its Using the Mirror ability. For each character a player has at The Queen’s Castle, they can draw a card at the start of their turn.
This card won’t help someone bring down a powerful foe, but it does make it easier to keep a versatile handful of cards.
Mufasa, Ruler of Pride Rock
Gaining Lore is essential to winning a game of Lorcana. Mufasa, Ruler of Pride Rock, allows a player to gain four Lore each time it quests, in addition to featuring four Strength and nine Willpower. It also has two abilities, including one that allows players to ready all cards in their Inkwell.
