2015 Leaf Fall Expo Autographed Patch Jack Eichel

By Ryan Cracknell | Hobby Editor

Jack Eichel autograph cards have arrived.

In this era, it’s hard to believe that it has taken this long for super a major prospect to have a certified autograph card. But with an exclusive deal with Leaf in place, more are on the way.The first pack-inserted Jack Eichel autograph cards are in 2015-16 Leaf In the Game Superlative. It’s a limited edition, high-end product that’s all autographs and memorabilia cards.

Eichel has a couple of different cards in the product. The main one belongs in the Superlative Signatures portion of the release. The base Silver version is numbered to 25 copies. It also has Gold (/5) and Gold Prismatic (1/1) versions. These are signed on-card.

Leaf previewed the Gold Prismatic version on Twitter. Not only is it a one-of-one, but it has a full signature compared to his regular autograph.

The Sabres rookie also has a one-of-one Superlative Shields card.

One of the first of the 2015-16 Leaf In the Game Superlative Jack Eichel autographs to land on eBay, which happens to be card 01/25, is listed with a $999.99 Buy It Now price tag. The dealer is also accepting offers.

Leaf released Superlative to coincide with the 2015 Fall Expo. To help promote the product, those busting cases at the show had a chance at an exclusive Jack Eichel autographed patch card. The regular version has 25 serial-numbered copies. The first one to sell on eBay went for $300.

Although not signed, Leaf also had jumbo jersey and patch cards featuring Eichel at the Fall Expo. These are numbered to 99 or less.

Collectors should be aware that because of Leaf’s exclusive deal, Eichel won’t have signed cards from Upper Deck. Several sellers on eBay are including Eichel’s name for some Upper Deck mystery redemptions, particularly those found in 2015-16 Artifacts. While he can have regular cards from the card maker, don’t be misled by autograph redemptions. Leaf products are the only place to find them.
