The Card: 2002 Bowman Chrome Draft Cole Hamels RC #BDP17

Cole Hamels is on the move in another deadline deal, this time heading back to the National League as a member of the Chicago Cubs. The pitcher will provide some depth and hopefully regain some of his form that’s faded over the past couple of seasons.
It was about this time three years ago that Hamels was traded to the Rangers. Until then, he’d been one of the Phillies’ cornerstones from the time he broke into the league in 2006. Hamels was the NLCS MVP in 2008 with Philadelphia taking the World Series immediately after.
In 2015, in his final start before being traded to the Rangers, Hamels threw a no-hitter versus the Cubs.
Unlike today where there are more than a dozen parallels, this Hamels card has just three: a Refractor (/300), X-Fractor (/150) and Gold Refractor (/50).
Like most pitchers, Hamels cards draw some interest but not a lot. Most of his stuff can be found for relatively cheap. And even a strong run with the Cubs is unlikely to change that over the long term.
