Just a few days away from the on-shelf date, Upper Deck‘s 2010 SP Authentic just got a little more alluring.

Making the most of an exclusive contract with Team Canada, Upper Deck has multiplied the penmanship of a legendary roster. Today, the manufacturer recently revealed two cards with two times the signatures.

Sidney Crosby appears alongside — well, himself — on a very desirable dual autograph card. Featured below images of The Kid with Team Canada and with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Crosby’s signatures merit multiple glances and hobby admiration.

Crosby demonstrates a simple principle: 2 X 1 = 2.

Bobby Orr, Gordie Howe and Wayne Gretzky demonstrate more of the same, but bigger.

Having built legacies with Team Canada and in the NHL, these three legends also double the pleasure in the form of a six-signature Sign of the Times card in SP Authentic.

These limited cards — along with the rest of the product — is due out on March 8.

I like how that Sid Crosby card’s auto is the same on both. I have never seen anyone able to duplicate their sig exactly the same two times in a row on the same card. Can they not get a real pic of the signed card and not a web made card?

From mod: It’s a photoshopped mock-up. The cards haven’t likely even been signed yet.

It continually changes. Who is on the other side of the autor card with Howe, Gretzky, & Orr??

Kind of a BIG waste of Expensive NICE Autographs, in my opinion… They could have added 1 more Signature in Each Box (like the unexpected Box Topper Exchange cards in Platinum Baseball (unannounced!!), especially for these Big Names!! Not only do they cost UD more money (which is of course passed down to us, but it would be cooler had there been 2 x times as many AUTO Cards of Orr, Hull, Gretzky, and Crosby — meaning that we actually CAN pull one of these AUTOs as their Odds would NOT be AS ridiculuous!! And the Value of an “Orr-Howe-Gretzky” TRIO Signed Card is a high figure already, adding another set of the SAME three Autos onto the BACK of that card is kind of pointless and I do not think many people are going to pay much more than say 1.25 times the price of the same card with the AUTOs on the Front only. Just my opinion, and to be fair, I truly hate two sided cards anyways and could not imagine the tragedy of putting those 3 guys’ AUTOs Face-Down!! And the Sidney card is nice as he has a nice big auto (I pulled one fom their SPx a few weeks ago and it is beautiful), and would also give these guys more room to sign Larger AUTOs (while still putting the 2 photos together). I just wouldn’t want that card with his AUTO twice on the front, it almost looks like it was a mistake!!
