After a 14-year career in the big leagues, Ian Kinsler announced his retirement this past Friday. Kinsler was the Texas Rangers’ 17th round draft pick in 2003. He made his debut on Opening Day of the 2006 season. Kinsler played 8 seasons with the Rangers before being traded to the Detroit Tigers in 2013. He was again traded after the 2017, this time to the Los Angeles Angels. A midseason trade in 2018 sent him to Boston, where he helped the Red Sox win the World Series.
