Preseason Success Stirring Jaxson Dart Card Movement in the Hobby
Per head coach Brian Daboll, the New York Giants will ride with veteran quarterback Russell Wilson into the 2025 NFL season. If Wilson remains QB1 throughout… that question has collectors in the hobby picking up Jaxson Dart cards, rookie or otherwise, in a hurry.
Those that have followed Dart’s career from USC to Ole Miss, and then as the 25th pick in this year’s draft, know he’s a gamer. Like his freshman season with the Trojans, Dart is in a crowded quarterback room at MetLife Stadium with likely Hall of Famer Wilson, 11-year vet Jameis Winston, and third-year Giants’ QB Tommy DeVito.
Preseason is… well, the preseason – meaning it doesn’t necessarily count for much, but Dart has looked good in practices and in action against opposing teams. The live arm that threw for 4,279 yards with 29 TDs as a senior has the fanbase’s attention in the nation’s largest TV market.
The Giants’ schedule starts off challenging with road games to Washington and Dallas before coming home to welcome Kansas City and the Chargers of Los Angeles. The schedule doesn’t let up in October with home and away games against Philadelphia with a trip to Denver squeezed in the middle. As is the case with all teams, if the victories are not piling up with the playoffs in reach, there will be an eventual turn to the future in the Giants’ first-round draft pick.
In the Hobby
As Dart gains national attention with his preseason success, speculators and collectors that didn’t buy before or after the draft are making up for lost time. Scrolling down lists of Dart cards sold on secondary sales platforms, anything with his name is being purchased. 2022 Bowman Chrome University, 2025 Score, 2025 Panini Instant, and 2024 Wild Card products are being swooped up by buyers, just to name a few.
One of the more expensive cards sold was a raw 2025 Wild Card QB1 #OCC-GD-JD1-A Jaxson Dart AU 1/1. The listing price was $300 on eBay, but a slash through line denotes an offer was accepted by the seller. A 2024 Wild Card auto of Dart’s, #OCC-PK-JD1-A 2/2, sold for $130 raw.
Prices are not over the top for those wanting to get into the action. 2024 Bowman Chrome University cards run from $2.50 to $3.00.
