Pokémon TCG Pocket Blissey ex Drop: Dates, Rewards, and How to Get Promo Packs Fast

Pokémon TCG Pocket just kicked off a limited-time event focused on Blissey ex. Right now, you can earn the chance to collect the elusive (and particularly gorgeous) card through special promo packs. Running from August 6 to August 16, the Blissey ex Drop Event brings four difficulty-tiered Solo Battles where you can test your own decks and walk away with Promo Pack A Vol. 11. And trust us, you’re going to want to try and get this Promo Pack.
How to get the Blissey ex promo card in Pokémon TCG
Each time you win a Solo Battle during the event, you’ll have a chance to receive one of these promo packs, which contain just a single card, but one worth chasing. Inside each pack is one of five possible cards: Horsea, Chinchou, Houndoom, Kangaskhan, or the coveted Blissey ex. While the pull rate for most of these cards is just under 24 percent, Blissey ex appears at a much lower 12.66 percent, so it’s the rarest card you’ll get from these packs.
The event is structured across four difficulty levels: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Expert. While all levels offer access to the promo pack, the odds of receiving will go up as the difficulty increases. Winning a Beginner-level match gives you just over a 50 percent chance of landing a pack, but by the time you hit Expert, the reward is guaranteed. Completing each tier for the first time also comes with added bonuses, including Shop Tickets, XP, and Event Hourglasses, which give you additional stamina and extend your play sessions.
Unlike normal play, the Blissey ex Drop Event only uses Event Stamina, and it only counts when you win. If you lose a match, you don’t lose any stamina. Stamina recharges over time, but you can also earn or use saved Event Hourglasses to jump back into battles faster. You can get hourglasses from battle task completions tied to each tier.
Beginner and Intermediate tiers are easier to complete, but the real value is in the Advanced and Expert levels. They give you the best odds of scoring promo packs, but they also come with harder battle objectives and better overall rewards. Expert-tier battles might mean you have to win with only ♦-rarity cards, keep your opponent from scoring, or finish the match within a set number of turns.
Here’s a quick breakdown of how pack drop chances scale by tier:
- Beginner: ~51 percent chance of getting a promo pack per win
- Intermediate: ~64 percent
- Advanced: ~80 percent
- Expert: ~ 100 percent guaranteed
All matches are solo-based and can be replayed for rewards, but the drop pool remains fixed for the duration of the event. If you’re hunting Blissey ex, this may be your best opportunity for a while. The card’s drop rate and limited window make it much, much harder to obtain through standard gameplay or future pack releases, though, for now.
Promo Pack A Vol. 11 won’t be available forever, and while the full list of returning promo packs hasn’t been confirmed, the exclusivity of events like this one means you’re going to want to jump on it fast if you don’t want to miss out.
