Pokémon TCG EX Dragon Frontiers Checklist: Full DF Set Card List

The EX Dragon Frontiers Expansion is the 15th installment of the Pokémon TCG‘s EX series, released in English on November 8, 2006; as such, it was released towards the conclusion of the Holon Block as Delta Species began to dominate the overall style of the EX series. EX Dragon Frontiers focused solely on an isolated island chain, where Delta Species Pokémon are the rule rather than the exception, with its cards reflecting this focus.
In Dragon Frontiers, one of the most evident things is the highly focused nature of the gimmick. In the majority of cases, nearly all of the Pokémon in the set have the δ symbol; there are only four (non-δ) Pokémon listed in the checklist. This focus allows for a distinct identity to be developed within the set: known Pokémon, changed types, and a chase list of cards that remain on theme from the first holo through to the last card.
What to Expect in the Pokémon TCG EX Dragon Frontiers Set
Dragon Frontiers is built around Delta Species across every rarity tier, and the top end is packed with heavy hitters. You’ll find the Pokémon-ex lineup runs deep with 10 cards in this set, including Altaria ex, Dragonite ex, Flygon ex, Gardevoir ex, Kingdra ex, Latias ex, Latios ex, Rayquaza ex, Salamence ex, and Tyranitar ex.
Charizard ☆ and Mew ☆ are the top of the pack in terms of chase cards from this set due to their status as Gold Star cards that wrap up the set. Following these two will be the 12 holo rares (Delta Species) for the set, including Snorlax, Ninetales, Meganium, Feraligatr, Typhlosion, and Ampharos.
In terms of gameplay, the Trainer and Energy section is surprisingly iconic for a smaller 101-card set. Holon Mentor and Holon Legacy both fit well within the Holon engine model of building decks, as did the energy spread that included Holon Energy FF, Holon Energy GL, Holon Energy WP, as well as Boost Energy, Scramble Energy, and δ Rainbow Energy.
