Pokémon and Lego Crossover Sells Out Instantly
What’s better than one of your favorite things? Try two!
The collaboration between two iconic universes, Pokémon and Lego, created a frenzy among fans and collectors on Monday. The initial offer of a $649.99 Pokémon set sold out faster than Regieleki and Zeraora off the Lego website.
The pairing of the two fan favorites was captioned on the Lego website, “Trainers, it’s time! Pokémon creatures and LEGO bricks have collided in ways never seen before. For the first time ever, discover new LEGO Pokémon sets, capturing these iconic creatures in LEGO bricks. Featuring fan favorites like Eevee, Charizard and, of course, Pikachu, these collectible Pokémon️ figures will delight every fan!”
Fan Favorites
Three separate Lego products featuring Pokémon characters have been created. The initial product launch, focused on Pokémon characters Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise in a 6,838-piece set, sold out on Monday.
Fans that could not get in on the action on Monday, don’t worry, there are other options available. Some sellers that were able to get their orders in on Monday have gone on secondary sales platforms to sell their preordered lots… typically for far more than the Lego price tag. If one has patience, Lego is offering the prized Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise for sale again starting on February 27.

More Lego and Pokémon
The next Pokémon-themed Lego product fans are sure to go wild over is the Pikachu and Poké Ball set. Retailing at $199.99, preorders for the 2,050-piece set ship on February 27. Sure to become a showpiece in a collector’s display case, this Pikachu has a tail that can be built as a female or male. The display options go further to a battle display, in battle stance or resting pose, or in action, springing from the Poké Ball.

We Love Eevee!
The third Pokémon-Lego release – Eevee. A beloved figure for gamers, Eevee’s 3-D build consists of 587 pieces. The tail, head, and limbs are movable and can be posed in various positions as the builder sees best. Preorders for the $59.99 set also ship on February 27.
At the start of this writing, the Pikachu and Poké Ball and Eevee sets were available, but Lego has now shared that both sets have also sold out in the initial launch.
