Paige Bueckers Delivers for WNBA, Dallas, and Collectors
The WNBA has been on a roll of late. The league has exceptional veteran talent in players like A’ja Wilson and Nneka Ogwumike with an infusion of exciting young players like Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, and Paige Bueckers. After being the top pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, Bueckers delivered a night for the ages for the Wings in the City of Angels, adding even more enthusiasm in the card collecting hobby.
Dallas’ point guard is having a standout all-around year, averaging 19.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 1.7 steals per game. On the way to what very well could be Rookie of the Year honors, she was selected for her first WNBA All-Star squad on July 19.
On Wednesday night against the Los Angeles Sparks, Bueckers took her game to another level, dropping 44 on 17-of-21 shooting, nailing all four 3-pointers and all six of her free-throw attempts.
Fans in Crypto.com Arena knew something special was in the making watching Bueckers pour in 16 by halftime.
The feat tied a rookie record set by Cynthia Cooper in 1997 and is the most points scored in the league this season. Bueckers now has 29 consecutive games scoring in double figures, shooting for the rookie record of 33 set by Wilson.
In a loss to the Sparks on Friday, Aug. 15, Bueckers dropped 29. Bueckers top performance of the season up to Wednesday night was a 35-point effort against the Phoenix Mercury on June 11. Against Phoenix, Bueckers went 13-of-19 from the field, 5-of-7 from 3-point land.

WNBA cards continue to be among the most traded and sold in the U.S. Wilson has been on the Beckett Hot List for consecutive weeks with Sabrina Ionescu and Sophie Cunningham jumping on three weeks ago.
