Overlooked Jacksonville Jaguars LB Foye Oluokun Cards are a Steal

Unless a die-hard Atlanta Falcons, Jacksonville Jaguars, and/or AFC South fan, chances are the name Foyesade “Foye” Oluokun has eluded NFL fans and most sports card collectors; that miss continues even within the NFL ranks. What everyone is missing is a dominating weakside linebacker who can do it all.
Long Way to the NFL
Humble beginnings for Oluokun have aided in most overlooking the highly productive backer. Working his craft at St. Louis’ John Burroughs School (Mo.), Oluokun didn’t get the Power Four or the G5 opportunities of many of his current professional peers – he suited up for Yale. Even in the college ranks, being pointed out for his play was hard to come by, not earning individual honors until his senior year. Even then, earning just Second Team All-Ivy.
Oluokun was passed on, again, this time by the NFL for the Combine, leaving him with one shot to impress scouts – his Pro Day. Listed at 6-2, 230, Oluokun’s 4.48 40-yard dash time and 4.12 shuttle finally caught attention.
Going from a potential NFL free agent to projected seventh-round pick, the Falcons scooped up Oluokun in the sixth round of the 2018 draft.
Earning a Roster Spot
Working under Falcons head coach Dan Quinn, Oluokun’s talents stood out in the preseason, and eventually during the regular season. Slated as a backup and special teams performer, Oluokun earned 7 starts in 16 games, tallying 56 solo stops, 91 tackles combined as a rookie.
Oluokun was a backup in 2019, earning just three starts. The breakout year came in 2020, producing 78 solo tackles, 117 combined. His fourth season in the league should have been when the recognition from within the ranks came, after leading the league in total tackles (192).
Maybe all Oluokun needed to do is lead the league in both solo and combined tackles to finally earn All Pro or even get a Pro Bowl invitation… In 2022, now with the Jaguars, Oluokun registered 128 solo tackles and 184 combined to lead all defenders in both categories with 12 tackles for a loss… but no individual recognition was given.
Working past being a one- and two-year wonder, in 2023, Oluokun again led the league in solo stops (111). Limited to 13 games in 2024, Oluokun still passed the 100-tackle milestone (108).
Through 16 games in 2025, and with the Jags being relevant for the first time since 1999 (14-2) or 2005 (12-4), Oluokun has racked up 135 combined stops, 66 solo. May his proverbial day in the sun finally come?

The Skills
Few outside linebackers are five-tool caliber players like Oluokun. The Jags can line Oluokun up at Mike, Sam, or Will and expect top end results. Unlike many linebackers, Oluokun can cover running backs, tight ends, and slot receivers in pass defense. Another undervalued asset he brings to the gridiron, spying running quarterbacks.
Rookies in the Hobby
A place where Oluokun has some surprise value outside of the Jaguars’ complex, in the hobby; even if more on the regional side. Oluokun didn’t get his first trading card until 2019, when Panini issued 14 different Oluokun cards. Funny enough, all in the Unparalleled line. The two most valuable rookie cards:
