CNN is reporting that President Barack Obama and family have decided on a First Dog, making that Presidential Pup Redemption Card from the recently released Topps Obama set a little more important.

How? It’s actually going to get made.

The redemption, which is good for a card of The First Dog of the United States, can be found one in every 384 packs. That’s one in every two cases of the popular product.

Of course, there is one pretty big problem facing Topps as it will be under the gun to produce one of the most highly anticipated Rookie Cards of a generation (hey, we heard the howling on that) — one that may force more than a few collectors to wait a bit longer by the mailbox before the card comes.

The Obamas have not yet decided on the dog’s name.

Pretty ridiculous. It will probably be worth three figures when it comes out.
