Topps officials recently unveiled a handful of new images from the forthcoming 2009 Topps UFC, the once-delayed, heavily anticipated heavyweight of a product now slated to ship in late September.

Those collectors waiting patiently — as well as those of us who’ve turned into white-knuckled nail-biters in an impatient fit — will be happy to know that the images released this week are the just-secured autographs from the cast of the Spike TV reality show “The Ultimate Fighter 10,” which premieres Sept. 16

In addition to the much ballyhooed Kimbo Slice certified autograph slated for inclusion in the product, former International Fight League heavyweight champion Roy “Big Country” Nelson also will be included.

This season’s “Ultimate Fighter,” which will strive to find the UFC’s next heavyweight contender, stars coaches — and former UFC light heavyweight champions — Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Rashad Evans.

They look like sticker autographs. Are they stickers or on the card? I didn’t collect the first Topps UFC set because I don’t like sticker autographs and I won’t collect this one either if they are. I don’t like the entire appearance of those cards at all. The background with Topps and UFC written all over it is terrible. How do paid professionals come up with such terrible looking cards. What the heck.

Topps has confirmed that all Ultimate Fighter autographs are on-card.
