You’ve Never Seen Rocky Figures Like These Before

The Rocky franchise has been featured on multiple lines of figures over the years. NECA is the current license holder. And while most of their figures for the movie have been more on the traditional side, an upcoming piece is anything but.
In fact, the toy maker is going outside the movies. Instead, NECA is looking to an old iced tea commercial.
The NECA Rocky and Mickey maquettes are limited edition pieces based on a Rocky-themed Lipton Brisk Iced Tea commercial from the late 1990s.
The NECA Rocky and Mickey maquettes have a production run of 1,500 pieces. Clark Toys currently has them on pre-order for $199.99.
They’re currently scheduled to come out in the summer.
The Lipton stop-motion commercial campaign offers plenty of possibilities should the Rocky maquettes prove to be popular and licensing deals line up. Babe Ruth, Bruce Lee, Reggie Jackson, Elvis Presley, James Brown, Daniel LaRusso from The Karate Kid, Bruce Willis, George Jefferson, George Steinbrenner, Danny DeVito and even Eminem have been transformed into puppets over the years.
I’d love to see the original puppets some day.
A Bruce Lee/Karate Kid/Mr. Miagai set would be fun.
