This week’s list is all about identifying the new pillars of the Standard meta following the release of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expansion.

We have Michelangelo, Weirdness to 11, Super Shredder, and The Soul Stone leading the charge on the hot list due to their sudden dominance in competitive play.

Meanwhile, Quantum Riddler and Cool but Rude find themselves on the cold list as supply finally catches up with the initial prerelease hype.

Here is what you need to know about the market for the week of March 16, 2026.

The Hot List

Michelangelo, Weirdness to 11

If you didn’t grab your copies of Michelangelo when they were hovering around the $3.50 mark during prerelease, I have some bad news. The party dude has emerged as a fundamental pillar of the Mono-Green Landfall decks currently dominating high-level competitive events.

This week alone, the card has seen a staggering price increase, moving from a median of around $4 to a market price of $8, with high-end listings already pushing toward $15.

The secret is in the Mutagen tokens. By combining Michelangelo with fetch land effects like Escape Tunnel, players are generating board growth that outpaces traditional midrange blockers by multiple turns.

It’s the definition of a workhorse card, and until the meta finds a consistent way to punish Landfall triggers, I expect this upward trajectory to continue.

Super Shredder

The Turtles’ nemesis is proving to be just as formidable on the tabletop. Super Shredder has established itself as the premier mythic threat for Orzhov Sacrifice and Dimir Midrange shells. The card has climbed this week, hitting a market price of $42.

What makes Shredder so hot is the Menace keyword combined with a high-ceiling growth trigger. Opponents are forced to commit multiple blockers to stop him, which usually results in more permanents leaving the battlefield, further fueling his growth.

While supply is increasing as more Play Boosters are opened, the demand from competitive players is currently outstripping the new inventory.

The Soul Stone

Even with the TMNT madness, Marvel’s Spider-Man cards aren’t going anywhere. The Soul Stone remains the most expensive regular-printing card in Standard, and it just tacked on another 10 percent this week to reach a market price of $76.

This card is the ultimate reload button for black-based midrange decks. The ability to repeatedly return creature cards from the graveyard to the battlefield during your upkeep is backbreaking in a format that has slowed down into a game of attrition.

The Cold List

Quantum Riddler

It’s time to face the music, the Edge of Eternities hype is finally stabilizing. Quantum Riddler, once the absolute chase card of the set with peaks near $173, has dropped again this week to settle at $46.

While it’s still a powerhouse in Blink archetypes, the market has realized it isn’t a cross-format staple on the level of The One Ring.

We’re also seeing a massive divergence between paper and digital prices; while it’s cooling off in your local game store, digital copies remain hyper-inflated on MTGO because of set redemption bottlenecks.

Cool but Rude

Speculation can be a cruel mistress. During prerelease, Cool but Rude spiked over 250 percent based on a discovered instant death combo with Necrodominance.

However, as thousands of TMNT packs were cracked this week, the market was flooded with supply. The card has crashed in the last seven days, falling from its $22 peak down to a $12 market floor.

The reality is that the combo is a bit clunky for Modern, often requiring a turn-four setup that is vulnerable to interaction. Unless a pro player breaks this card at a major tournament next weekend, expect it to continue sliding toward the $10 range.

*Buy Cool but Rude and Necrodominance cards on eBay and Amazon.
