Magic: The Gathering Hot/Cold List for the Week of June 15, 2026
Welcome back to our weekly look at the movers and shakers in the Magic: The Gathering market.
For weeks now, we’ve been waiting to see Marvel Super Heroes turn up in the prices ahead of its June 26 release.
This week it finally did, just not the way you’d expect. The spikes aren’t landing on the shiny new Marvel legends. They’re landing on old, overlooked cards that suddenly combo with them.
Meanwhile, a couple of holdovers from last year’s crossovers are quietly drifting the other way. Here’s your Hot and Cold List for the week.
The Hot List
Seeker of Skybreak
From $0.40 to $10
Our biggest mover is a 1997 Tempest common almost nobody thought about a month ago.
Seeker of Skybreak, a 2/1 Elf that taps to untap any creature, has rocketed from under a dollar to several dollars, with the scarce original Tempest printing listed as high as $10 at some shops.
The catalyst is Hawkeye’s Bow, a one-mana common from Marvel Super Heroes that pings each opponent for one damage every time the equipped creature taps.
Because Seeker can untap itself, the two pieces loop infinitely, and both are Pauper-legal commons, so the moment the set is legal you’ve got a turn three kill in one of Magic’s most popular budget formats.
The one catch is a Pauper ban window on June 30 that could undo the spike as fast as it came, so treat this as a momentum buy, not a long-term hold.
Champions from Beyond
From $0.75 to $3
Here’s a sentence I didn’t expect to type, a Final Fantasy card is now one of the hottest upgrades for a Marvel deck.
Champions from Beyond, an enchantment from the Final Fantasy Commander Scions & Spellcraft precon, has climbed from around $0.75 in late May to roughly $3.
It drops a pile of 1/1 Hero tokens when it enters, then rewards you for swinging wide, scry 2 and draw a card at four attackers, and get +4/+4 on all attackers when you swing with eight.
That’s a perfect fit for Captain America, Team Leader, the Hero-typal commander of the Marvel Super Heroes Avengers Assemble precon, and it already shows up in better than 40 percent of those decks on EDHREC.
Hero support is Hero support, no matter the franchise.

Aphelia, Viper Whisperer
From $8 to $24
Our last hot pick has gone from around $8 in May to roughly $24, better than doubling in a few weeks.
Aphelia, Viper Whisperer is a two-mana Gorgon Assassin from Foundations Jumpstart that spits out deathtouch Snake tokens when she attacks, with a five-mana payoff that halves an opponent’s life total when your Gorgons and Snakes connect.
She already had a quiet following thanks to her combo with Wound Reflection, which can close a game in a single swing.
The new spark is The Serpent Society, a Marvel Super Heroes legend whose edict forces each opponent to sacrifice a creature every time one of your deathtouch creatures dies.
It’s hungry for expendable deathtouch bodies, and Aphelia’s Snake tokens are exactly that. As the lone printing of a scarce Jumpstart mythic, she doesn’t need much demand to move.
The Cold List
Anti-Venom, Horrifying Healer
From $20 to $17
Not every Marvel card is riding the wave. Anti-Venom, Horrifying Healer, a mythic from the 2025 Marvel’s Spider-Man set, has slipped to around $17 and is still drifting downward.
The card itself is fine, a five-mana 5/5 that reanimates a creature and grows whenever it takes damage, but that five mono-white cost is a real constraint, and it never locked down a defining home.
Even with a brand-new Marvel set about to flood the format with fresh options, this older mythic hasn’t found new buyers, and the trend is pointing the wrong way. It’s a cool down, not a crash, but I’d let this one settle before chasing it.

Noctis, Heir Apparent
From $10 to $4
Our second cold pick is a card I liked on paper.
Noctis, Heir Apparent got talked up over the winter as an underplayed Voltron commander, and copies pushed toward $10. That speculative interest has since cooled, with sales now sitting around $4 and still slipping.
Here’s the part worth flagging, some shops still ask closer to $11. That gap between the listed price and where copies actually change hands is the tell, so don’t pay the sticker.
If you want him for a deck, wait for the asks to fall in line with the sales, because right now the trend is working in the buyer’s favor.
