Looking Ahead to the Fall, 2018 TCG Releases – Beckett Pricing Insider
In the months ahead, there are several trading card games getting new sets. Here’s a look at some of the most anticipated releases for fall, 2018:
Yu-Gi-Oh: Soul Fusion
Soul Fusion will be the next major booster expansion in the Yu-Gi-Oh trading card game. This set features support for an old-school card, Thunder Dragon. Wow, is this support insane! Thunder Dragon goes from one card into a full archetype with competitive viability.
The archetype plays similarly to the infamous Dragon Rulers where they provide effects in the hand and when they are sent to the graveyard or banished. Be on the lookout for this set in October.

Magic: The Gathering: Guilds of Ravnica
Magic: The Gathering is making another trip into the world of Ravnica. With it comes shock lands, guilds, and extremely powerful Golgari instant cards (Assassin’s Trophy). Ravnica blocks tend to bring interesting limited and standard formats, and this set is looking like no exception. The shock lands being introduced back into standard always allow for new and multi-colored decks to shine due to their mana-fixing ability.

Dragon Ball Super: Miraculous Revival
The fifth booster pack in the Dragon Ball Super card game brings a new leader skill called Wish that should shake up the meta game. This set also looks to pull cards from the original Dragon Ball series and the Fusion Reborn movie. Among them? The first Gogeta and Janemba cards. This set releases at the beginning of November, so be on the lookout for the upcoming spoilers and release date.
