LeBron James is First to Surpass 50,000 Points Scored NBA Milestone

The historic career of LeBron James added another talking point to “best of all-time” conversations from his supporters on Tuesday, March 4, when he rolled past 50,000 points scored.
Sitting on 49,999 combined points from the NBA’s regular season and playoffs, a 3-pointer midway through the first quarter with the Los Angeles Lakers against the New Orleans Pelicans added to King James’ legacy.
James set the NBA Playoffs’ all-time mark in 2017 passing Michael Jordan, now at 8,162, and claimed the regular season all-time scoring mark in 2023 breaking Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record of 38,387 points. James now has 41,837 career regular season points scored.
The long list of accomplishments for James includes being a four-time NBA champion and NBA Finals MVP, 21-time NBA All-Star, three-time NBA All-Star Game MVP, and NBA Rookie of the Year (2004).
The continued greatness on the hardwood has only increased the value of James’ cards among collectors. At a recent Goldin Auction, a 2003-04 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection Rookie Parallel Jersey Patch Autograph #78 LeBron James BGS graded 8.5, 10 graded auto, sold for $1,220,000.
