The 1990s featured many memorable hockey games and players.

In The Game is reliving the era with Decade The 90s, set to come out August 29.

Each box will contain 14 cards with three autographs, three game-used memorabilia cards (including one quad relic), six base cards, one Decades Rookies insert and one Decades Mask insert.

The 200-card checklist will include six subsets: First-Round Pick, Enforcers, Cup Clashes, Dynasty, Decades Player and Decades Coach. Each card will also come in silver and gold parallels.

The autograph checklist is extensive (see below). It will have more than 170 autographs including Gordie Howe, Curtis Joseph, Dominik Hasek, Joe Sakic, Mark Messier and many others.

In other news, In The Game is bringing back Enforcers II early next year, a company rep confirmed at the National Sports Collectors Convention.

The 2011 release garnered plenty of attention when the designs depicted blood spatter. Critics stated the cards promoted violence and sent the wrong message. That didn’t stop ITG from releasing the cards and won’t stop it from putting out a new set.

Can’t wait for this one. The 80s was a big hit with collectors and I think the 90s will be even bigger considering a large portion of the collecting universe started in that decade. Enforcers II is going to be great.
