Crediting better-than-expected participation from so many legendary hockey signers, In the Game officials on Wednesday afternoon announced that they have improved the odds of pulling an on-card autograph from 1972: The Year in Hockey, the company’s newest product due out early next month.

Originally slated to fall one every eight packs, autographs now will fall one in six packs. In addition, In the Game is adding a new dimension of collectibility to the product with 72 blank-back variations for each of the set’s 200 base cards.

In other ITG news, the company will be conducting a wrapper redemption program with 1972: The Year in Hockey at the Bossa Productions show slated for Sept. 12-13 in Edmonton, Alberta. Collectors opening the product at the company’s booth will win specially stamped memorabilia cards, including autographed versions.

Finally, the company distributed more preview images from the forthcoming Ultimate Memorabilia 9, including a sweetly sizable Mark Messier patch.

Below you’ll find images from all the aforementioned ITG developments.
