The first Axl Rose Heavy Metal Autograph redemption card from 2013 Topps Archives has hit the auction block on eBay a day before the product’s official release, and it’s already picking up steam after just a few hours online.

How fast? You could say it’s been gaining bids faster than Rose singing “Garden of Eden” on Use Your Illusion I.

There will be a few questions about this card in the coming days and weeks, but none are more important than how high will it go?

Skeptics will obviously, of course, question whether the controversial rock star actually will sign the cards. Others might wonder how many are there to even be signed.

But the Guns N’ Roses fans? They’ll likely have little patience on the auction block.

Interest in the Rose autograph should be strong as PSA-authenticated autographs have strong asking prices and are not plentiful online. The 10-card  autograph set will be one of several insert sets to the previously announced 2013 Topps Archives release. Signing besides Rose will be Mötley Crüe‘s Tommy LeeSkid Row‘s Sebastian Bach and Twisted Sister‘s Dee Snider as well as Bobbie Brown from Warrant‘s “Cherry Pie” video.

How high do you think this one will go? Tell us in the comments below. (We’ll have a poll up soon … technical difficulties.)

I think the real question is, will the winning bidder pay. It seems that recently, when cards are featured on certain websites, they sky rocket, and never get paid for.

Call me a skeptic. A better poll would be asking whether he will actually sign the cards.

I’ve been to a show where he didn’t show up so I wouldn’t definitely not buy a redemption of this dude.
