Have You Found a Surprise 2019 Panini Contenders Football Clear Mosaic Autograph?
Contenders is a line that’s known for its surprises. Usually, it’s the variations and short prints that collectors are left to discover. This year, it’s some surprise — and tough — parallels. 2019 Panini Contenders Football Clear Mosaic Tickets combine a couple of elements for a new style of autograph card.
For starters, they’re done on acetate stock. But that’s similar to 2018’s Clear Tickets. According to Panini’s blog, the company wanted to experiment by taking traditional acetate and using the Mosaic pattern found in a handful of special Prizm sets over the last couple of years.
This means that the cards still have the see-through appearance on the front and back (especially noticeable with the signature when you flip it over), but there’s also a pattern hovering in it.
Panini also confirmed that all of the 2019 Contenders Football Clear Mosaic cards are one-of-ones. They do not have serial numbers, though.

Very nice cards!
I haven’t seen any mosaics, but I did get three “Panini Rewards” points cards out of three Contenders retail blasters, which claimed a guaranteed relic or auto per box.
Also, for the five cards I selected with some of the points, I was charged more than $13 shipping for a regular yellow bubble mailer.
Suffice it to say I will not be buying more.
