Hank Aaron is Topps’ third Prime 9 redemption
By Chris Olds | Beckett Baseball Editor
If you have card No. 3, then you have the guy who was once known for 755.
You know, 755 career home runs.
Topps has announced its third HTA Prime 9 card, and it’s Hank Aaron who is the third player to be part of its hobby shop redemption card program.
All collectors who found a Week 3 redemption card in their 2012 Topps packs (two per hobby or HTA Jumbo box) can exchange their cards for the Aaron Chrome Refractor card seen here at a participating hobby shop.
Topps will announce the remaining nine Home Run Legends each Friday.
RECAP
Week 3 — Hank Aaron
Week 2 — Babe Ruth
Week 1 — Willie Mays

Kind of interesting, because my LCS owner has given me week 1 and 2 cards…number 1 is Hank Aaron, then Babe Ruth is number 2. Wonder if anyone else has run into this?
Next should be Mickey Mantle
Michael: Yes, I heard something similar from local shop here. Not sure what’s up but this is as was announced by Topps.
Does anyone here know where the hobby shops in North Carolina are located?
Has anyone noticed that on the back of the player cards..the stats where it should read doubles actually read triples??
hey Don……you can either use the print guide(s) which lately have been putting HOBBY SHOP locations in the magazines. Or……..the marketplace link on here will take you to the pages where, with a little bit of playing around, you can locate shops all over the country !!!
Don, not sure where in NC you are, but close to the Charlotte area there’s Trademark Sports Cards in Harrisburg, or AAA Collectibles in Matthews. Hope that helps!
k…thanks steve-o
I’m in Roanoke Rapids
Also, I noticed that on the background of the cards Mike Schmidt’s name is listed, but he IS NOT one of the prime 9 players. Everyone else whose name appears gets a card…weird.
Does anyone know where any hobby shops are at in Indiana?
Don, Cardiacs Sports and Memorabilia in Cary, NC will be closer to you.
thanks dellinger
