Konami brought a new spin to Yu-Gi-Oh! in 2020 introducing Rush Duel. With some of the same aspects to the game players were familiar with from Speed Duels and Duel Links, bringing monsters into play, Rush Duel is a race to drop your opponent to zero Life Points to claim victory. One of the cards that stands out because of the amazing artwork and scarcity is the Dark Magician in the 2024 set.

Starting with 8,000 Life Points, Rush Duel is played with 40-60 card decks at a breakneck pace. Summoning monsters and drawing as many cards as possible to keep the fight going is part of the fun.

Rush Duel brought changes to the game and the look of the Yu-Gi-Oh universe. As seen on the card pictured, stars for the level of the character/monster were changed to a star with a number. Another change was the placement of ATK and DEF from the bottom of the card to the bottom of the artwork.

Featured on the Konami Rush Duel box, released in Japan and Korea, the Dark Magician Girl was the chase card in the set for collectors. The year prior, fans were hunting Blue Eyes.

Looking for the Dark Magician Girl cards online, there are different variations, and some at reasonable prices. One variation is the Rush Duel RDG001-JP002 Dark Magician Girl Secret, and another is the Rush Duel RDDD02-JP004 Dark Magician Girl Secret with either card available for under $40.

Looking to buy a 2024 Yu-Gi-Oh Rush Duel Over Rush Pack 2 Japanese #RDORP2JP001 Dark Magician Girl ORR? Online prices started at $1,000 raw when released. If the card is in great condition, like a BGS Pristine 10, values are $2,000-plus.
