Adding Super Bowl Champion and Super Bowl MVP to his long list of accomplishments has seen Hurts’ cards jump in price in the days since the Eagles’ 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. The Player Behind the Card
A four-star prospect out of Channelview High School (Channelview, TX), Hurts immediately jumped on the national scene with the Crimson Tide earning SEC Freshman of the Year (2016) and SEC Offensive Player of the Year. At the end of the 2017 college football season, Hurts and the Tide earned national championship rings after a 26-23 win over the Georgia Bulldogs.
After transferring to the Oklahoma Sooners for his senior year, Hurts earned first team All-Big 12, Big 12 Offensive Newcomer of the Year, and third team All-American honors (2019).
The Philadelphia Eagles selected Hurts in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft with the 53rd pick. Hurts became the Eagles full-time starter in 2021, and by 2022 led his squad to a 14-1 campaign, picking up his first of two All-Pro honors thus far (2022, 2023).
In Super Bowl LIX, Hurts was awarded MVP after completing 17-of-22 passes for 221 yards with two scores and one interception. He also rushed for a game-high 72 yards off 11 attempts with one rushing score.
