Gotten your 2008 Upper Deck Store winter catalog?

I received my 2008 Upper Deck Store winter catalog in the mail yesterday. If you haven’t seen it yet, here’s what you’re missing …

Above is a Tiger Woods signed tournament-worn shirt (the 2005 Deutsche Bank Championship). Asking price for this autographed and numbered one-of-a-kind gem?

$15,000.

But he’s not the only golfer who has had his shirt off his back end up in the catalog.

An Arnold Palmer event-worn autographed polo shirt (right) will cost you $2,999.99.

Not to be outdone, though, Jack Nicklaus‘ autographed shirt will cost you $3,999.99.

Another used memorabilia option for golf collectors is a signed display from Woods that includes a range-driven Nike golf ball. The ball itself is not signed (and the Nike logo is showcased) but the photograph backdrop inside the case has been signed by Woods. The cost? $499.99. (That might be one of the cheapest Woods autograph options out there. It certainly is in the catalog.)

How about a pair of Tiger’s tournament-worn golf shoes? (Nike, of course.) That will run you $10,000 — but each shoe is signed. (Keep one, sell one!)

The only other complete game-used items I found in my quick scan was a David Ortiz game-used alternate Red Sox jersey at $4,999.99 and an Ortiz-signed Fenway Park seat back.

Among unsigned memorabilia items (and there are many), there are LeBron James signed shoes for $1,499.99 and many other signed items to be found.

Now, it would be easy to make a joke that the stuff is all out of my price range — and it is — but you have to remember that this is the same catalog that’s going to millionaires and company CEOs around the world.

And that says something about the appeal of the athletes in Upper Deck’s stable.
