At MagicCon 2025 in Atlanta, a Borderless Foil copy of The Soul Stone from the Marvel’s Spider-Man Magic: The Gathering expansion was graded Beckett 9.5 GEM MINT with subgrades Centering 10, Edges 10, Corners 9, Surface 9.5. If you’re a collector looking for a high-dollar card that you can use as the cornerstone of your collection, this is it.

It’s currently selling for upward of $2,250 on the resale market, reaching prices of $3,500 and beyond. Not only is it a rare find, but the graded version is so pristine of a slab that it’s a must-buy for Marvel or Spidey fans in general.

What is this Card?

The card here is the Borderless Foil “Gauntlet” treatment, with Thanos art by Leinil Francis Yu and colors by Sunny Gho, found in Collector Boosters. It sits alongside the textless cosmic foil as one of the set’s premier chase versions.

The Soul Stone quickly became the set’s signature artifact (Magic’s first Infinity Stone) bridging Marvel lore and MTG collecting. It’s a gorgeous card in its own right, a borderless pick that features Thanos gathering the Infinity Stones in his Infinity Gauntlet, with dazzling foil to accompany it.

What this Card Does

The card’s rules text (set #243 and #66 printings) is straightforward:

Indestructible

{T}: Add {B}

{6}{B}, {T}, Exile a creature you control: Harness The Soul Stone

∞ — At the beginning of your upkeep, return target creature card from your graveyard to the battlefield

That combination makes it both a great mana rock early and a repeatable reanimation engine, so it’s well worth adding to a deck — that is, if you’re not using one that’s worth this amount of money.

Why the 9.5 Grade Matters to Collectors

Borderless foils are sometimes susceptible to tiny dings in the corners and and micro-lines. Getting a Gem Mint 9.5, especially with 10s in centering and edges, is a mind-blowing grade.

Final Thoughts

If you’re collecting the Marvel’s Spider-Man Magic: The Gathering set, this should be a cornerstone of your collection. If you can take the monetary hit while it’s going for a relatively smaller amount of money in comparison to some of the other rare cards in rotation, snap one up if circumstances allow.
