Garbage Pail Kids wrappers transformed into metal cards

Garbage Pail Kids Original Series Wrapper Art Metal Cards

By Ryan Cracknell | Hobby Editor

Looking back, some of the art of wax packs is as iconic as the cards they hold. They come with a certain pop art appeal. And if you’re big into a set, you see enough of them as well. 2015 Topps Garbage Pail Kids 1980s Wrapper Art Metal Cards recreate the packaging from the original series in card form.

Like the similar set dedicated to Star Wars wrappers, these are available exclusively through the Topps website.

The metal card set is limited to 99 copies. Each is hand-numbered.

A total of 15 aluminum cards make up the set, one for each of the Original Series releases that came out between 1985 and 1988.

Unlike a lot of the other metal exclusives Topps has released in the last couple of years, 2015 Topps Garbage Pail Kids 1980s Wrapper Art Metal Cards are standard size.

The cost of the set? $99.99.
