First Victor Wembanyama San Antonio Spurs NBA Card Arrives
Over the past couple of months, the number of Victor Wembanyama cards has continued to grow. But none of the live ones were NBA cards — until now. The first overall pick in the 2023 draft finally has his first card in circulation of him wearing a San Antonio Spurs uniform.
It’s found in the 2023 Panini National Convention Silver Packs, which are available at the show in Chicago as part of the company’s annual wrapper redemption.
The Wembanyama is part of a nondescript insert set that’s part of the larger promo set. The card itself, though, is anything but nondescript. Done on Prizm stock, the chromium card has a large Panini logo in the background with water splashing around it.
Just a handful of copies have landed on eBay so far. Prices on those that have closed has ranged from $239.95 to a high of $599.99. Understandably, values are volatile at the moment.
Collectors can expect lots of Victor Wembanyama NBA cards in the months ahead as he embarks on his rookie season. For the moment though, this is it.
