First look: 2013 WNBA trading cards
By Susan Lulgjuraj | Beckett Basketball Editor
Brittney Griner and Elena Delle Donne have brought recent attention to women’s basketball. Now, the two will be getting their first WNBA-licensed trading cards next month.
Rittenhouse Archives is producing a 100-card factory set featuring the young stars, including autographs of each in the $150 product. The factory set will be limited to 500 sets and comes out July 31.
A minimum of six players from each team will be featured in the factory set including WNBA stars Tina Charles, Candace Parker and Diana Taurasi.
Rittenhouse has had the WNBA license since 2005, often limiting the runs of the cards to make them more collectible.
