First Look: 2013 Topps Big League Minis
By Chris Olds | Beckett Baseball Editor
Topps is getting into the game with the stars of the game.
The company announced Friday that it’s bringing MLB to the packaged vinyl figures area with 2013 Topps Big League Minis — a collection of 28 3-inch vinyl figures that are packaged like cards. The blindly wrapped collectibles niche has been one that has grown in the last few years via non-sports properties.
Set to arrive on June 12, Big League Minis will show players and will have chase variation figures as well. They will sell for about the same price as a pack based on factory cost, though a suggested retail price was not announced.
See a visual checklist of the figures … after the jump.

The Pablo Sandoval one is way cool.
+sigh+ I wish the Cubs had a player worthy of a mini.
Where is the cardinals figure? I can’t believe one of the best teams in baseball is completely not on the checklist.
But at least there are four Yankees! #sarcasm
LOOK CLOSER AT THE FIELDER ,ORTIZ AND PABLO
Add the Braves to the, “I can’t believe they were snubbed” list. At least give me a Heyward!
No Cardinals, it’s not a complete set! But at least Brian Wilson has one (rolls eyes).
Deez, yeah lol
Chris, is there gonna be a canseco? I hope not because the package will be huge, easy to pack search ;)
And theres never enough yanks in a product
As a Cubs fan, I find a certain delight to see no Cardinals in the package. Cardinal fans, if there should be someone in the set, who should it be? There’s nobody on their roster last year with a SLG over .550. I suppose Yadier Molina with his WAR of 6.7 would be worthy.
The cardinals may not have a guy with a huge slugging percentage but they could have done Molina, or Holliday., Players like Jose Reyes, Bryce Harper, and David Ortiz have them then Molina deserves one for sure. That’s just my opinion.
No Cardinals but Brian Wilson, a guy that was nontendered? And Matt really? Forget WAR. Molina is the best defensive catcher in baseball and last season hit 22 HRs with a .315 AVG and a .373 OBP. Also finished 4th in MVP voting. Isn’t that worth anything?
Topps being Topps again…
Cardinal fans are blinded by their own self-interest. Stats don’t necessarily sell these little things. Popularity does. There simply are zero Cardinal players that are popular enough to be included.
How come king felix doesnt get one? Mabye a second series?
