1997-98 SP Authentic Sign of the Times Stars and Rookies Michael Jordan Autograph BGS 9

A 1997-98 SP Authentic Sign of the Times Stars and Rookies Michael Jordan autograph is currently up for sale on eBay through a Beckett consignment. The card is widely considered to be one of the top Michael Jordan autograph cards ever produced.

And this just so happens one of the best copies of the rare card.

Graded BGS 9 with a 10 signature, the 1997-98 SP Authentic Sign of the Times Stars and Rookies Michael Jordan features a die-cut design. This can make condition an issue, particularly with the corners. It’s one of just two cards with such a 9/10 grade from BGS. The 8.5 sub-grade for the corners is also one of the best.

The last copy of this card in the same condition sold in 2012 for a supposed $30,000.

A total of 12 Sign of the Time Stars and Rookies cards were included in 1997-98 SP Authentic Basketball packs at a rate of 1:113. While no print runs were released, it’s believed the Michael Jordan autograph has around 50 copies. Jordan was a redemption.

A further testament to the card’s popularity, even the unused redemption cards can bring in four figures when they’re offered.

    I don’t get it.
For the money there are so many better autos of him.
Stuff that is rarer with serial #’s to prove it.

Regular rules don’t apply to early high-end Jordan stuff. Key cards are status symbols. The market may not be huge, but those who are chasing such cards are willing to pay for it.

The reason why MJ Sign of the Times is the most expensive auto is because the year 1997-98. That was the last year MJ ever played in the court for Bulls. MJ SOTT 98-99 is not as expensive as the previous one, because that year he’s already retired. if you Richard saying there are lot more better of auto just let say those Exquisite ones in mid 2000’s, those years doesnt have any history for the real collector

What about an original 1985 Nike Christmas card made for Jordan personally to send to close friends. Charlie Sheen received one and is the only one I have seen online. Anyone ever seen another??
