Early details surface for 2016-17 Panini Day program

Panini America appears to be trying something new and collectors are the ones that are going to benefit from the 2016-17 Panini Day program.

While complete details are not yet public, the company has dropped some preliminary details regarding what is planned for the two-card promotional packs that are expected to hit card stores starting in March.

The 2016-17 Panini Day base set will be made up of 40 of the league’s top stars, but there will also be an unspecified amount of rookies as well that are limited to 699 copies each.

This promotion also offers the chance for some big hits. Several 2016 draftees will have NBA Rookie Memorabilia cards. Other collections slated for release include Jumbo Material, NBA Materials, and Collegiate Memorabilia. Autographs will also be randomly inserted. As street date approaches, Panini America will likely reveal further details via their official blog or other social media outlets.

At this time, brick and mortar dealers or group breakers that wish to participate are being encouraged to pre-order both 2016-17 Panini Prestige and 2016-17 Panini Afficionado NBA products in order to be guaranteed their packs. For every box purchased, they will receive two packs that are expected to be shipped with the product. It should be noted that the Panini Day packs are only honored with pre-orders and are subject to allocation and/or selling out.
