Do you have questions? Two NHL players have answers …
Upper Deck, Beckett Media and the NHL Players Association are teaming up to let hockey fans ask questions of two NHL stars leading up to National Hockey Card Day on Feb. 21.
How can you be involved?
Submit your questions right here in the comments field (and also over on a Beckett.com thread) and we’ll select 10 that get sent directly to the players. Those will be published online and in the next issue of Beckett Hockey.
Be sure to include your name and location with your question.
Here are the players’ bios if you need some background:
Dan Cleary — Right Wing, Detroit Red Wings
Steve Bernier — Right Wing, Vancouver Canucks
All questions must be received by Feb. 14. The answers will be published the following week just in time for National Hockey Card Day.
Chris Olds has collected sports cards and memorabilia since 1987. Before coming to Beckett Media, he wrote about the hobby for the Orlando Sentinel on his blog, SportsStuff, and for the San Antonio Express-News and The Tuscaloosa (Ala.) News. Do you have a comment, question or idea? Send e-mail to him at colds@beckett.com.
This is a two-part question is for both players:
Do you collect your trading cards or do you have any teammates (past or present) who are big memorabilia collectors?
Jim — Florida
For both players:
Which legend from each of your current home teams do you wish you could have played alongside?
