Cooper Flagg Cards Selling Fast after Mavericks Land Top Pick in NBA Draft

What turned out to be a bad day for the Utah Jazz, Washington Wizards, and Charlotte Hornets turned out to be a great day for the Dallas Mavericks and sellers on secondary sports trading card platforms on Monday.
With just a 1.8 percent chance of landing the top pick in the upcoming 2025 NBA Draft, Dallas solidified their chance to draft Duke’s Cooper Flagg, or (gulp) could president-general manager Nico Harrison trade away another generational type of player?
Even with the Florida Gators winning the 2024-25 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship, the season from start to finish was about Flagg from a national media perspective.
The five-star prospect out of high school (Nokomis Regional and Montverde Academy) skipped a grade to enter college early, then proceeded to rampage though the game earning every award possible including ACC Rookie of the Year, first team All-ACC, ACC Player of the Year, first team All-American, and National College Player of the Year.
The 6-9, 225 pound, forward averaged 19.2 points per game, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.2 assists helping the Blue Devils to 35-4 (19-1 ACC) record with a Final Four appearance against Houston.
Every mock draft worth its salt going forward will have Flagg going first, and card collectors know it. On Monday, 2024-25 Bowman Chrome U 1st #16 Cooper Flagg cards were sold left and right ranging from $5.50 to $10.00.
The Bowman Chrome U #16 parallels like Black Wave ($60), Purple Lava Refractor ($42.99), Sky Blue Refractor ($72), and Chrome Saphire ($79.99) were big sellers.

One of the high selling cards on eBay was the 2024 Topps Chrome McDonald’s All American Purple Lava Refractor /99 going for $110.02.
