    Hey Chris,
I’ve been debating picking some stuff off COMC for a while now. I was wondering your thoughts on several aspects of the site. Do sellers tend to accept offers on cards or is it just more common to pick up the cards for the listed prices? Also the shipping prices seem rather outrageous, did you feel you had to pay for than required to get the cards safely shipped to you? Thanks for any opinions. I’m looking to pick up some things for one of my PC’s of a fellow Athletic: Rich Harden. Also maybe a few Astros Prospects as well!

I’ve been buying cards off of COMC for a few months and it’s pretty much where I get all my cards now. Most sellers are receptive to reasonable offers by either accepting or sending a counteroffer. It never hurts to try and get it for lower than the listed price…you can always buy it for the listed price if they reject your offer. As for shipping, it’s really not that unreasonable. My cards have always come in great condition. No complaints here.

You see what you get when buying the cards as the card you will own is what you see in the scan, front and back. Creases and larger damage is noted.

However, sometimes surface damage might sneak through. Otherwise, it’s one of the best sites I have ever used. Essentially, you can get ebay-ish prices buying all at one stop — without the chance that your card won’t be delivered because of a scammer.

You can make offers up to half off. Some take them, some don’t, but it seems like there’s a lot of action there with buyers and sellers to me.

Shipping can add up but they do specials — and it’s a lot cheaper than buying from multiple different dealers elsewhere.

What a shameless plug for COMC! :) J/K I love the Rickey cards, esp. the SC Members Only and 7-11 cards. ANY Topps Laser cards are ALWAYS awesome, and the McGwire for $3 is a great pick-up. I also love minis (before the newer A&G’s, etc.), and preview/promo cards. Congrats on the recent haul of PC cards. I am always looking for those types of Ozzie Smith cards. ;) ;)
