1994 Sportflics Football features a 184-card base checklist. Those cards, of course for anyone that knows Sportflics, feature lenticular technology. This gives the cards the illusion of showing movement through a couple of photos of the subject.

Also included is a nine-card subset simply called Starflics, which features players on 3-D cards.

There is a full set Artist’s Proof parallel to chase, landing about three times in every two boxes. In addition to the parallel, there are three insert sets. Just one, however, will be found in every box. Rookie Rivalry inserts are found a couple times per box, while the other two inserts sets are tougher to find. Head to Head cards are found once every couple of boxes. The toughest, though, Find the Football inserts, are found just once in every 480 packs. Being that tough to find, they must be valuable, right? Well, most of them can be found for $5 or less.

If you enjoy pulling rookie cards, there are 33 included on this checklist. That is the good news. The bad news? The 1994 rookie class wasn’t very deep. The best of the bunch are Marshall Faulk, Trent Dilfer, and Willie McGinest.

Pack 31 and 32:

Marshall Faulk RC, Junior Seau, Steve Young and Dan Wilkinson/Sam Adams Rookie Rivalry (1:18 packs)

Faulk was selected second overall behind Wilkinson. Faulk would, of course, go on to a Hall of Fame career, getting elected to the Pro Football HOF in 2011.

Pack 33 and 34:

Scott Mitchell and Jeff Hostetler

Pack 35 and 36:

Thurman Thomas, Reggie White and Barry Sanders

Lastly, the Barry Sanders card back. These cards have quite the layout — it feels like there are words and numbers going in every direction.

I always liked Sportflics products, but some collectors don’t necessarily share that opinion. I do like the Starflics 3-D subset cards a lot and wish they would’ve released a set with all 3-D cards. Unfortunately, none of the tough inserts were in this one, which means there are more left for all of you to pull!
