Gallery: 2014-15 Upper Deck SP Game-Used Hockey

Expected on store shelves in a little over a week, 2014-15 Upper Deck SP Game-Used Hockey has an all-new configuration this season that may prove to be a success with collectors. With five cards in each box which includes four or five autograph or memorabilia hits.
Upper Deck gave hobbyists an extensive preview of what they can expect to find yesterday via social media. One of the biggest changes to the product is the fact that each veteran and rookie base card is limited to the depicted player’s jersey number and the last one in that run will be a one-of-one autograph for over 100 different NHL stars or prospects. The presence of significant game-used memorabilia pieces from such league events as outdoor games and the Stanley Cup Finals also provides collectors with a direct connection to when the memorabilia on the card was used.

Among the many highlights slated to be found in boxes are autograph hits such as Inked Sweaters and Draft Day Marks and memorabilia collections like Authentic Fabric (Trios, Quads and Sixes) and Game Gear along with oversized swatches that can be found on limited Supreme Patches, Supreme Gloves and Supreme Sticks.
Rookie content is quite strong in SP Game-Used this year with most of the big names being featured on autograph and memorabilia hits. In addition to budding stars like Aaron Ekblad, Johnny Gaudreau and Jonathan Drouin, look for the first rookie cards of Kevin Hayes, Bo Horvat, Seth Griffith and Kerby Rychel. There will be some first-time signers as well in Leon Draisaitl, Anthony Duclair, Jori Lehtera and Jiri Sekac.
